Submission Checklist: It’s Go Time!!

There is just one week left to enter your submission to the OpenAI Open Model Hackathon. Submissions are due September 11th

The submission deadline is fast approaching, so whether you're almost done or just starting, it's time to finalize your project! Review our submission form process for helpful tips. Use the checklist below to ensure everything is complete by the deadline.

 Submission checklist:

  • Did you create a working application built for one of the categories that uses either the gpt-oss 20mb or gpt-oss-120mb models?
  • Are all of your teammates added to your submission form? Remind them to accept the invitation (before the deadline) so that they’re listed on the project submission!
  • Did you create a submission video? Is your video public, coherent and shows your app working? Reminder that any content over three minutes may not be viewed by judges.
  • Did you provide a public link to your code repository? Don’t forget to clearly show us how you used the gpt-oss model (e.g., README with testing instructions, sample data, or a link to model weights / training data if you fine-tuned). And an OSS/Apache License is encouraged, but not required.

Be sure to read through the Official Rules more than once. Or better yet, have a friend or colleague provide a second pair of eyes to make sure you didn’t miss anything.

Good luck!
